It’s on a high-traffic, high-visibility corner and it serves coffee, but that’s perhaps the only characteristic that the College Hill Coffee Company shares with “other” coffee establishments. Owner Tina Stoeberl took over ownership of this neighborhood business in 2006 with the intent of turning it into a true community asset. Live music? Every Saturday night (and some Fridays). Gifts? Galore…for weddings, kitchens, tea/coffee paraphernalia and more. It serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and desserts to die for (a pie doesn’t qualify unless it’s at least 5-6 inches tall and stuffed with sugary/chocolate-y/fruity goodness of some sort). In 2010, locals who wanted to keep the summertime College Hill Farmer’s Market alive moved their organic fares and wares inside on Thursday afternoons into the gift-shop area of the coffee house. It’s at the corner of Hamilton Avenue and North Bend Road. Park in back in the community lot.
