Cincinnati is home to the oldest working telescope in the US, and it's an absolute beauty to see in person! On most Friday nights, the Observatory has a program where you can learn all about the observatory, the telescope, and then view an amazing sight in the stars.
A few months after moving to Cincinnati, my wife and I were looking for a fun date night out. We went to the Observatory and were delighted with the experience. In fact, we went again a few months later for Valentine's Night, where they had a violinist playing romantic "starry" music, chocolates, and a vewing of the Red Planet (Mars).
This is totally recommended as a fun date night or a family experience. Children are welcome, and questions are encouraged.
