Montgomery’s $641,000 Secret

4 points

City of Montgomery

Olde Town Montgomery is home to a bicycle shop, a local pizza tradition – and some say the secret whereabouts of thousands and thousands of dollars. In December 1982, four FBI agents, a retired Chicago police officer and an accused embezzler all died when the twin engine Cessna 411 they were in plowed into Sheppard’s Bookstore, formerly at Main Street and Cooper Road. The crook was leading the feds to the hidden stash of cash – if that location was revealed on that fateful plane crash, everyone on that flight took the secret to their graves. The cause of the crash was never revealed, either.

I witnessed this!

I heard this plane sputtering outside the window of our Montgomery jewelry store and looked up in time to see it hit the top of a pine tree in front of our store. The plane then hit power lines and bounced over Montgomery Road to finally end it's flight at the bookstore. I will never forget this day!

Thanks for sharing this information. I really like your way of expressing the opinions and sharing the information. It is good to move as chance bring new things in life, paves the way for advancement, etc. But it is well known to everyone that moving to new location with bulk of goods is not an easy task to move or shift from one place to other place because I have experienced about that and I face the problem like that. There I go to village near to my city faced that problem there.mcts 70-536//
